Photographs From a Heart Warming San Francisco Family Life Session

This session is special to me for two big reasons.  First, it’s a referral from a dear client, which I always hold near to my heart since they were kind enough to pass along my name.   And second, I was allowed to witness their deep love for one another.   I arrived at their stunning San Francisco home expecting to hang out, play, and photograph their life, but instead I got so much more.  This sweet family has such love and a unique bond that it made me stop several times just to watch them interact.  From playing in their son’s room to bath time, everything they said and did was filled with love.   The smiles and laughter were authentic.   It was as though I could show up at any time and witness the same exact thing.   It rings throughout  their home.  I am truly honored to be able to witness such joy.  If there were a way to bottle it, I would.

I felt this post was very appropriate for Valentine’s day.  Every time I look at the pictures it puts a smile on my face.

I think this first image says it all… it practically takes my breath away.

It truly is the little things in life – A child really enjoying their food, or their tiny dangling feet… it’s all beautiful and amazing.

Everyone needs to take bath-time photos of their babies.   Everyone.

I LOVE that their dog sleeps by the crib.  *Sigh*  Even their doggy is filled with love!  So happy I was able to get a picture of it!

XOXO to all of you!  Hug your loved ones extra tight today… candy not necessary, although in our household it’s a welcome addition. ;)

tara k - absolutely loved the beautiful peek into this family’s amazing, perfectly normal little life. missing my own babies now. :( your work has a way of yanking those emotions right out of people, my friend!

Kathi Cook - How did I miss this post? I love it Jen. Love all the sweet little things you’ve documented, the little feet, the little bath toy, just all the ‘stuff’. Really, it’s not little at all, these are the important things. What a lucky family to have you as their photographer.

Johanna - This post really rings home with me. I know that my husband and I were exactly like this when our kids were little. I always say that we watched them like they were TV, and enjoyed every minute even doing the most mundane things together. I only wish someone like you was there to capture all of it. These are precious irreplaceable memories. Nice job Jen. They will treasure these forever.
