What is “urban maternity” you ask? Urban sessions are shot in urban areas… pretty simple, huh? Well Walnut Creek, CA is not so urban, but it has a very cute downtown (and lots of good shopping!) What I really love about these sessions is there are always little pockets of nature everywhere, so I can get a good mix of urban and nature in one session. Right downtown we found perfect locations next to ally ways and vacant lots (didn’t Walnut Creek had either, did you?) So here is a preview of a quick and fun maternity session. We will be doing newborn pictures next month, so I’m so happy we got an opportunity to shoot before then. The beautiful mama is the cousin of a Madison, Wisconsin photographer friend Tara Kuhlow who thoughtfully referred them to me. Thank you Tara – you know how I love the newborn sessions!!!
Oh, and I have JUST been informed that the lovely couple had their baby boy this morning! Good thing we got that maternity session in! Congratulations mama A and papa R, and I’ll see you soon! (I’m so excited!)
