Danville, CA Photography Displays

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

If you follow me on twitter, you’ve probably already seen some pictures of recent displays I’ve had hung around Danville, but I wanted to share a few more!  Aren’t they purdy?

When I originally designed the first set for one of my favorite people,  Julie Ligon, owner of The Dailey Method in Danville, I had envisioned three large pictures running along the back wall.  But after spending some time with it, I decided I really wanted to make a bigger impact.  I played around with some ideas I came up with 9 16×16 flush gallery mounts pictures with a black beveled edge.  I absolutely love it!  I mean LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  And these mounts are such a great alternative to frames.  They are solid, come ready to hang, and have a super sleek modern look.  They are absolutely perfect for her studio!

The second set was a special project for long time clients (wedding, maternity, and newborn sessions)  Jenny and Brian Oas of Allstar Swim School.  They just redid their swim shack and wanted to include some fun swimming pictures of a few of their clients.  I went with white for these gallery mounts and made them a little thinner because they were bigger.  I love the colors and the clean look of them.  As a side note, my Crazies take swim lessons with Jenny and Brian and I sincerely cannot say enough kind things about this couple.  They are amazing at their jobs.  People drive from all over the Bay Area to have their kids take lessons here.  And I believe they are one of the only swim schools in the area that will start teaching kids as early as 6 months old.  Plus they do the ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) training which is a must if you own a pool or have your babies around water a lot.

As always, I hope your weekends were lovely and you were able to get out into the sun!

xoxo

Super Hero Birthday Party! :: Walnut Creek, CA Photographer

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Yesterday I was working and a guest at very creative and very fun birthday party!  One of my favorite people is diligently finalizing her new business of designing parties, and yesterday we got a little sneak peek into what she will be doing.  All the kids had such a blast running around in their super hero capes and masks!  The food was fabulous and the cake was simple yet elegant.  I’ll give more info once her site is complete and she’s ready to hit the ground running!  Trust me, if you are a busy mom, or just think you lack creativity, you are going to LOVE her products!  I can’t wait for her to launch!

Here’s a peek!

Bay Area Kids Magazine Cover :: Editoral Photographer

Monday, April 13th, 2009

This cover was so much fun!  We shot right here in a Walnut Creek neighborhood (Walnut Heights for those of you who really want to know.)  The model is a local boy from Danville and was SUCH a trooper.  Everything looks so easy, but when all is said and done, editorial and advertising photography can be long and painfully detailed.

If you haven’t had the chance to check out this magazine, I highly recommend it.  It’s done so well and really focuses on the family as a whole rather than just mom as many others do.  Bay Area Kids Magazine

As a side note, I’m starting to get back into things after taking some time off, and starting next week I’ll be running full steam.  I already mentioned in my last post that I will be announcing the details for my spring mini sessions for this spring, so be sure to tune in!
